Know what I do not understand about pro-eating disorder blogs, why would anyone promote a mental illness? You don’t see pro-depression blogs or pro-schizophrenia blogs. You don’t hear people saying “I wish I had dissociative identity disorder” or “I wish I could be anxious like her.” Eating disorders are a mental illness; the one with the highest mortality rate for that fact. You do not WANT to have an eating disorder. Eating disorders do not make you prettier. Eating disorders do not make you happier. Eating disorders are not about being skinny. Eating disorders are hell. So the next time you come across a pro-ana/pro-mia site think to yourself “do I really want this?” The answer should be no, because nobody should ever want to endure the suffering that eating disorders put you through. Please just learn to love yourself for who you are. Photoshopped images are not beautiful, you are. So please just start believing that.
