Youtube videos such as “Riley on Marketing” and “A Kid’s Reaction to a Gay Couple” just prove that children are born open minded and love people for who they are rather than who society tells us we should be. It is the older generations that place gender stereotypes, homophobia, and stigma against something that is not the “norm” on children. We need to be more like these children and realize we once were these children. If we lived our lives with the acceptance these children have, the world would be a much happier place. 

I honestly never expected the overwhelming number of responses to my post about the job interview. I do not know how I have been so blessed to have such amazing followers. You all honestly do not know how much all your kind words mean. 

For those of you who followed me throughout my grad school journey, application to PhD programs, rejections, and moving to find a job, thank you so much. For my new followers who have just “tuned in” for lack of a better term, thank you for your support too.

Y’all are so amazing. Each and every one of you. Never hesitate to contact me if you need anything. I will always be here for you. Even if we have never talked before, or if we talk all the time, I am seriously so thankful for each and every one of you.

Just got a phone call about an interview for a teaching position starting in the fall. If I get the job I will be teaching abnormal psychology at a community college. I am so excited!

Now I just need to prepare for the interview and pray it will go well & that they like me.

1. Where do you see yourself in 5 years - Hopefully finishing up my PhD and planning on having little ones in the near future.

3. What is your favourite meal? - At home, just some plain old Kraft Mac ‘n Cheese. But if I am going out I always love Mexican food, especially vegetarian burritos!
4. Least favourite thing to do? - Kill cockroaches. Random I know, but it is true. I would almost rather do anything than that.

6. When is your birthday? - August 23rd.
7. What is your dream house? - Ah, this is so hard because it always changes and I guess I am more realistic so I do not imagine a grand mansion etc. But I would definitely like a house with a big kitchen, a master bedroom on the first floor, & a yard for kids to play in.
8. Any pets?  - At my parents house but not living with me.

10. Where do you work? (if you don’t work, where would you like to work?)  - Until next Friday I technically work for my school. Starting the last week in May I will be working for my practicum site which is called CReATE.

Just wanted to let y’all know why I have been absent the past few days, and will be for the next week or two. I am trying to get everything finished up before school ends, which includes a lot of papers, reading, etc. I have been taking on more clients at practicum as I will be working there this summer, which comes with more report writing. I also started moving back to SC this weekend. Spence and I got our keys yesterday so over the next two weeks I will be driving back and forth with car loads of stuff.

I will still come on to check messages and hopefully respond in a timely manner. My queue is set as always so I will still be posting, even if I am not physically on. I love you all & thank you for everything you have done <3
